Last week I released Keith’s Easy Rss Wordpress Plugin which I developed in response to the Sunshine WordPress plugin competition - Yoast - Tweaking Websites

However I discovered it could handle other RSS feeds as well as Sunshine ones so I released as a general purpose rss plugin

Thanks for everyone who has had a play and special thanks to Scifind (Brian) who has today made a modification so that affiliate tracking can be added, this is included in latest release.

Those with the updated version of your plugin can use code like

(adding their own affiliate id)

As feed uses <ul> <li> anyone who is better with css than me will get prettier output

I am loving this Rss Feed plugin, I have tested it on CJ Merchants , as long CJ allow deeplinks with the merchant it works

I have also successfully tested the plugin with Affiliate Future and Webgains, struggling to find decent up to date feeds mind. Also have a problem with rss feed which use .asp and .php extensions

One good one is Firebox which I have tested using Affiliate Future links example here The newest hot stuff available at Firebox.com

We've also got a feed of our top products that updates automatically:

Please note, this is different from the top twenty on our site at the moment, as we've recently changed the criteria for the top twenty and the RSS still uses the old system.

Also, our new and top twenty feeds contain image urls as well if you want to try anything out with them.

We also have the RSS feed of posts from the Firebox Blog that might make good content FiredUp.

If you spot any issues with our RSS feeds let me know, its normally something simple like a bad character.

I missed the top 20 when I was searching feed.

While I would love to use the images it would mean a special modification just for Firebox and once I start that where will it end? could end up with 1 plugin per merchant :scared

Saying that if anyone wants to modify their own copy of Keith’s Easy Rss Wordpress Plugin to show these images give me a shout any I will attempt to point you in the right direction.

In my opinion Amazon use images to the best effect in Rss feeds as they include them in the description field.

That looks great! I also think its a really nice example of what can be done with a voucher code page when there are no codes available- you already know that visitors to the page will be interested in Firebox, by giving them a bestseller list you're giving them some ideas on what to buy (without resorting to misleading lists of 'deals', ahem).

You might be able to find some other merchant feeds in this old thread. I agree, I haven't seen a lot out there, which is suprising. But then I know some merchants who rarely change the top twenty lists even on their own sites :scared.
