There are plenty about but I'm not going to list them for you, Linkshare, Affiliate Window, Webgains, Paid On Results and several other networks have a number of merchants that sell top of the range designer fashion.

Just wondering... if a lady would buy a top fashion garment online. Judging by myself, I would rather go to the shop to try it on, see it, touch it, smell it... you name it.
Does anybody know if women actually buy clothes online? I often browse online just to see what's on, but always buy from the real shop, especially shoes.

yes or all the online boutiques would quickly go out of business. I guess most people smell the clothes in the shops and then buy them online later.

Good point. I assumed they did as there are sites selling women's clothes online.

I have been know to try stuff on in the shop then buy it online as it can be cheaper but buy most of my clothing offline apart from trainers which can't be bought offline.

If I buy clothes online, it would be because I went to the shop first, tried something on, my exact size was not available and they told me to go to their site and check if I can get it online.
I was asking because I recently purchased a fashion oriented domain name and wondered if I would have any buyers (judging by my own shopping habits I wasn't sure).
But I agree, you must be right, some women must be buying clothes online. Just hope my site will find them.

women shopping online tend to buy the garment in a couple of sizes, if they are not sure, and return the one that doesn't fit. This is why successful online fashion retailers offer free delivery, so that they give their customers peace of mind and ease of returns.

I agree with what Hero said, my experience tells me that people tend to buy things in different sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

It's also worth considering that the women that buy the really high-end goods are very busy and don't have time to go shopping so they do it online instead. As designer brands are good quality the consistency between sizes is very accurate, so once you've bought a pair of shoes from a particular designer you know next time that size will fit you in another style.

    Hope that helps.

I disagree with the actual comments that women do not like buying online.. or indeed that they buy different size just to return, some may do but I would say that is more rare..

Women are not stupid or particularly need to be touchy feely about their clothes.. if they are buying online, they know there size, they browse well and purchase readily if it's something they want...

i think the mentality here is some stereo-type from a bygone age.. sure some women do still shop your way, some men still go to mens clubs to smoke cigars.. but things have changed far to much to be using these cliches about women shopping...

Not sure if this was at me. I did not say women disliked buying online, just said that if I had to judge by my own shopping habits I would not have many buyers on the site. I was surprised to learn that women tend to buy a few sizes together online. It never occured to me to do that, probably because I am lazy and would hate to make the effort to return the garments.
