Tchibo Programme closes on 31st of July

Dear Tchibo affiliates,

I am writing to confirm that the Tchibo affiliate programme is closing on July 31st. As set out in previous postings and communications to our affiliate base we will of course be paying out on all commissions earnt after this time during the cookie length.

You can still make the most of the 10% commission available promoting this last week’s theme, Bonjour Liberte, an exclusive collection of seductive lingerie, accessories and more. The new suite of creative is now available to all affiliates as per usual.

We would like to thank you all for your help on the Tchibo programme and we look forward to working with you on other programmes.

Just as a quick query.

Why is the program closing? It wasn't one I was promoting.

I'd just like to understand the rationale of closing an affiliate program at the onset of a recession when affiliate marketing is the lowest cost form of marketing there is.

Tchibo has decided to close its online operation in the UK to focus on the high street.

I am sure they will be back in the future.

Now that is extremely unusual. Seriously.

Most outfits with a High Street presence are trying to do the opposite as the High Street just can't compete against online.

Many such firms now offer collect in store options.
