I'm also very much interested in outsourcing my link building, or at least finding a good article submission service.

Any further assistance would be great. Cheers

You could outsource it to software...

We're about to release yet another free plugin for wordpress that creates basic backlinks automatically.

If people like it, we'll probably extend it to backlink to more than just directories etc.

I'd also recommend ContentNow's article writing service.

Auto-backlinks .. No No No .. what sort of quality do you think that would give? Isn't this why affiliate marketing gets a grubby reputation?

Good quality links are hard to find but it is essential you do not bombard your site with 000s of poor quality links. Do you think the Google Bots are stupid?

Our own research on a widely dispersed network of several hundred blogs has confirmed the generally held consensus that a backlink is generally... a backlink (generally held by the professional SEO community).

The bot may not be stupid, but they certainly don't care that much.

After all, if a 'bad' backlink (if such a thing existed!) could harm your site in some way, it would be too easy to ruin a competitor's chances in exactly that fashion. In fact, if such a thing was possible, you could do it now, using this very plugin by specifying you competitor's url as the target on the plugin admin screen.

The links autobacklinkplus adds to your blog come from a vast range of directories and the like, and frankly, they all count, even if they typically only carry a low amount of PR juice.

Where your rather >cough< shouty comments may carry some weight is if you programatically add a large number of backlinks very rapidly, or build a lot from a limited range of IPs. This can result in a number of actions, including a human coming to have a look to see if your site has in fact gone nuclear legitimately (it happens) or whether your are 'cheating'. Which, of course, is why the plugin drip feeds them to your blog randomly, typically at under a dozen a day, from all geographical areas, and more C classes than you could shake a stick at.

I'm afraid I have to give you a D- on this occasion, Gadgetboy.

I'm focussed mainly on getting good quality links. The best results i've had is from entering into dialogue with webmasters and forging friendships. Takes too long though, so I'd like someone to do it for me. Probably have to set someone on full time!!
