    Hi Guys,

I've seen a number of companies who other link building packages, featuring x00 directory submissions, x00 social bookmarks, blog posts, press releases etc... for a couple fo hundred quid.

Has anybody used anything like this and can vouch for their value, and if so can anybody recommend a particular company?

I've used Indian link builders off of Elance etc and generally wasn't happy with the quality so would be looking for something better than that!

    Don't do it!

Google searches out patterns of submission and devalues automated submissions and paid links (where it's able to tell)...

You're better off digging around and getting 1 relavant link than getting 100 random links... The only non-relavent links you should take would be from reputable / established high pagerank sites offering it free or for next to nothing!

Unfortunately it is looking increasingly like its just hard work that does the job! Its certainly what I'm reading elsewhere.

I have a vested interest but its certainly worth using the tools available from people like Linkdex to manage the process and assess every step of what you're doing - there's a free trial so you can suck it and see as well before committing. I do know there are some excellent documented results.

    cheers

Google has designed it's system to make sure that hard work does the job!

If you've got a budget to spend... spend it on content or PPC

I understand that hard work does the job - but what if i'd rather do my hardwork on other aspects of my business which i am more skilled at and pay somebody else to do the link building, which i am not skilled at?

It's a good argument but in many cases they are not really using any skill or hard work at all and providing a lot of links that don't help you. I'm not saying every link building package is going to be like this but at the lower end of the scale it is very likely that most are?
