In my opinion, Squidoo is a great platform to create an online presence. You can start informative lences of your products or services, you will start getting traffic to the respective web pages as soon as the links are indexed. There are various options to create efficient lenses and the links are dofollow.

These days squidoo and hubpages both are getting very strict (all because of link farm and panda update).

But yes they still have PR 7 platform and giving extra time to them is good.

Do not forget to updating them regularly with the latest contents.

I like squidoo, but it takes SOOO much time to get a good lens uploaded. I much rather prefer article marketing the traditional way.

I guess the moral of the story is, the more work that goes in the more Google will value it. Makes sense I reckon. The problem with easy to make links is that everyone gets them!

I started with Squidoo about 3 years back and have since gone on to other things.
Squidoo, even though I've done nothing for a long time to the 40 odd Lenses (pages) I have published, still provides a small residual income each month and most months sales from embedded affiliate links.
As an environment for learning affiliate marketing I found Squidoo a useful tool.
