  PPC Weirdness

I chucked a few quid at Overture the other day, just to get a feel of what it was all about (I'm a PCC and affiliate virgin!). I initially bid on 20 listings, with 15 in the top 3, but then realised I was getting only 1 or 2 clicks per day from Yahoo and Lycos. I checked it out and found my site was only being displayed about 1 in 20 searches on the relevant keywords. I queried this and was told an unknown "server communication" issue appeared to be the problem. Today my listings are appearing 100% of the time on Yahoo etc. and I haven't heard any communication back from Overture so I assumed the "issue" is fixed.

I don't know what my point is here, but I think it's something to do with keeping vigilant and not assuming that your listings are being displayed just because the blurb says there are. Or something. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=" >D">

  Now then

So now there working fine have you noticed a large number of clicks?

Just when I did a bit of payperclick it wasnt really that impressive and nowhere near the kind of visitors Id expected considering how many people were supposedly searching for the terms Id bid on.

No, simply put. Bugger all. It's going to take about a month to get though my £60 at this rate. Seeing I've got about 5 listings at No. 1 on Yahoo & Lycos et al. for not terribly outlandish keywords then it is somewhat deflating.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=" >D">

Apparently "monkey porn" was searched on 64 times last month. I'd have been better of using that...

Just gone and checked again. Now none of my listings are appearing on Yahoo nor on MSN. Complete waste of time, and of course Overture aren't fussed because I'm not a big spending customer.
