Google Adword Exclude words ..?

How do you remove a keyword to make it not count in a search ?

For example:

cheap books of scotland

I bid on "books of scotland" but want to exclude searches on "-cheap" .. anyway to do this .. I read its possible.

just bid on

[books of scotland]

with the square brackets

simply put - before any keywords you want to exclude eg:

-cheap
-bargain

you can probably imagine the list of bizzare words that I had to exclude when promoting Kylie & Britney calendars lol. :rollin:
