Perhaps an Idea ?

I was thinking...most sites rank by number of links back to you ?

Right...if I was to set up a registration process, that we can get as many people to participate in as possible....only this forum...of course ! (i mean participate...no lurkers!!!)

Where we all dedicate a folder off the root of our webs that will contain a web page that links to the others participating in this idea...this would gain a large set of link back to our own sites....

Then at a defined time...we all submit to the search engines this special page...

I guess we would all have to leave the page where it was for a month or so...

Does anyone think this would work ?

Sounds dangerously close to what Google what deem an untargeted link farm...

I don't think it's a good idea, either.

I know that some people have been swapping links
via this forum, though. That's a better idea - not automated,
and a quicker way to build a good links page (that Google
will not mind).

I thought it might be a problem....
