The nearest thing going on at the moment is the Pub Conference in London on the 12th of October. There is going to be some real SEO heavyweights there, so it could be a good place to start. I'm sure a few of the members here will be going too!
You just missed a big event in Scotland www.waim.org/conferences.html I have been told they are meant to be ok, not free but not expensive, like £99 or something for the full day.
I never went as I had a Nominet conference in Edinburgh a few days later and besides I was told about the search engine one at the last minute.
Worthwhile I would say would be anything the Networks put on, and also anything that will get a group of your peers together.
I try not to go to many in fact, they can be a waste of a day.. it's the ones that you pick up little gems of information all bit small that can make it worth while wasting your time at the others ... CJU put on by Commission Junction was very good day, lunch was the highlight.. not the food but the people I was sitting with was the best part... this would not have happened if CJ didn't put on the event and I am sure it why we increased what we make with CJ, all be it still not anything close to TD or DGM.
I was due to be speaking at the internet marketing conference that was cancelled in Amsterdam this week.
I'm often asked to provide training and have enough material to put a very full and informative day together with plenty of "take away" ideas.
Another SEO company based in Nottingham has mentioned they have training facilities available and that we should put together something in the UK (there are always the Search Engine Strategies series, but it's a few days, it's not cheap (although very good), and tends to be more at a generic level rather than detailed.
Would this be worth putting together ?
I'll be at the Pub Conference so talk to me there if interested. By the way, the sign-up page for the Pub Conference is www.webmasterworld.com/conference/ see you there.
