  SEO Question

I have a site, a .net, it is listed fine.

I now have the .com, and it points to the same site. No-one and nothing knows of this second url.

Do i tell the SE's about the second url? Is this spamming? Or is it one of those things that everyone feels different about?

I've never had two names and one site before, so please assume i know nothing :O)

Carl

  Re: SEO Question

not spamming at all... I have a few URLs for my main site listed, however that was via bad planning than design. I started off with my .co.uk being the main URL but after buying out all the .com's that sounded the same as what my main URL was I decided to switch to that as main one, of course sites and magazines are picking at random what to use as my main one and so after a few years now I have this strange situation where I can have most of the top 10 slots and they all be different urls, and it was never meant to be that way by choice LOL

  Re: SEO Question

I tend to park alot of domains ontop of existing sites of mine.. idea being any incidental traffic that passes through will at least have a complete site to look at... and in quite a few cases ive just left them parked there and not got round to doing the site that was meant for that name.

One of my sites does have alot of domains parked on it and most of them are listed/indexed with the content there.. cant say ive noticed any downside to this..
