  SEO questions

OK OK i know this is probably the most common question on this board, please bear with me.

My site is slightly different from most and because of this i would like all clicks to come through the home page and not to enter through a back door. This means that i can't upload loads of urls to the search engines and therefore limit my chances of being found..... I have started looking for wedding directories and i'm trying to get links through from them (to boost googles ranking!!)

Any thoughts

Jamie

if you want visitors to only come in on the home page create a robots.txt file denying all pages except the home page.. that will stop most of them crawling.

Then you can still submit your site to all the engines without them going any deeeper then the home page.

sounds good but do you think I would be cutting my nose of if i did this.

If only pushed the one page wouldn't it harder to be found....

(soz if this sound a bit lame but I am a bit new to the seo strategies)

I havent looked at your meta tags Jamie but if you dont have seperate tags in all your other pages then it may not make much difference.

Or alternatively only restrict pages that you definetly dont want indexed...

Jamie - I host a site for a local guy called www.eastangliaweddings.co.uk - I'm just about to start submitting it to some engines and it only has a Pr of 3 or 4 - but maybe we could exchange links on that?

Cheers,
