PDF files - okay to duplicate?
A quick question - are there any problems in terms of duplicate content issues with publishing documents in PDF format in addition to as the HTML pages. Typically, I might have, for example, a four-page news item, which I would publish as a single PDF document, and as four separate optimised web pages. I would presume that most search engines are intelligent enough to understand that a PDF file is a separate document, or should the robots.txt file be used to tell them not to index it?
