evidence of poison keywords in use?

Heres the little debate, we set our site live, did a nice little seo job on it and after getting index we find we are number 1 for our chosen set of keywords in msn, respectable at 30 or so on google and get lots of traffic from yahoo/inktomi ask jeeves etc. But we looked at our page rank which for most pages is 2 or 3 which isnt bad, except any pages that have any reference of the words affiliate and search engine.

page rank of zero, we know the page has been picked up and we know the site is indexed but still a page rank of zero when all the other pages are fine.

now if you look through the site you will see the only thing in common are pages that contain search engine in the text or affiliate or both i guess.

Has anyone else got experience of this little one?
