  How much meta data?

Hello,

Just wondering what the general concensus of opinion was on the number of meta keywords you should have on a page, and the length of the description?

I have a page on dali art prints, does this meta data look okay to everyone?

<title>Salvador Dali Framed Art Prints and Posters Dealer</title>
<meta name="description" content="Buy Salvador Dali Art Prints and Posters, Salvador Dali prints, Salvador Dali art"/>
<meta name="keywords" content="Fine Art,Art, Apparition de ma cuisin,Apparition of Face and Fruit Dish on a Beach,Apparition of Face and Fruit Dish on a Beach,Apparition of Face and Fruit Dish on a Beach,Apparition of Face and Fruit Dish on a Beach,Atavistic Vestiges,Atavistic Vestiges After The Rain Art Print,Atavistic Vestiges-Rain,Autumnal Cannibalism Art Print,Bacchanale,Bacchanale Art Print,Basket Of Bread 1926,Birth Of Liquid Desires,Burning Giraffes And Telephones,Butterflies,Christ of St John of The Cross,Christ Of St John Of The Cross 1951,Christ of St. John of the Cross, 1951,Cinquenta imagenes abstractas,City of Drawers,"/>

All the keywords are titles of prints.

Thanks,

Are you sure?

they certainly don't use it as much as they used to but I wouldn't be sure about saying they ignore it.

no one can be 100% sure other than the engineers, so as I'm not one it's just an educated guess like most SEO

But I'm pretty sure meta keywords don't get looked at

You should use all available methods to get search engines to rank your site.

I would certainly put META tags in your pages, it only has to be done once!

Use a brief description in the content tag and approximately 50 keywords. Make sure your meta tags are relevant to your sites content or it may be ignored.
