How badly does JavaScript interfere with SERPs

Hi All

I'm currently trialling livestats from deepmetrix.com. One issue with this package is that it requires the addition of a JavaScript (approx 30 lines) into each page.

Could this have any significant negative effect on search engine positions?

Cheers

accelerator

put it at bottom of the page, or even better put it in an external file and include it.

generally bots wont read JS but it will make your page seem larger (file size) so shouldn't 'really' matter
