Link Building - Anyone Like To Exchange Links With My New Health Website?

New year and a new website... well hopefully one of many if I can keep up my momentum (which I doubt).

I am finishing off the cleanup of a new website that is health orientated (as in pharmacy, not organic food), and Im after a small number of link exchanges.

The site was submitted to Google over the weekend, and has already been fully indexed and with content waiting to be added, the Googlebots will be calling on a regular basis. As the site is new, there are few inbound links, and 0 PR, however this is to change in the coming weeks/months.

This may seem like a slightly daft question - but how have you managed to get your site indexed in a weekend?

I've just created my first blog / info site and I'm now attempting to get it listed by creating some backlinks and submitting it into directories but this all takes some time.

Have you link to your new site from your existing ones - or trawled the web for relevant forums etc...?

I have a site that has a PR of 4 - so I've included a link from that but content wise it's got nothing to do the new site.

I was under the impression that reciprocal links weren't all that useful any more. Is it still worth pursuing link exchanges?
