In this case, I don't think books will help you much, you need to be looking for information online.
The reason for this is that the process of
SEO is ever changing, as the search engines come up with new ways to define what a "good" site is, and to block spam sites. As a result, the info in a book would quickly go out of date.
There are huge numbers of
SEO articles and Forums on the net, do a search in Google and you'll find loads that will help you. Just bear in mind that you can't take everything at face value. People have a lot of differing opinions as to what works and what doesn't, some people will say x is a winning forumla, whilst others will say it's rubbish. Again, you also have the problem of info going out of date.
It's a very difficult subject, as the Search Engines don't really want people to know what works, otherwise people could use it to make spam sites rank high. Because of this, theres no data that is 100% fact, it's all subjective based on peoples own opinions. You can get concepts from reading the many forums and articles on the net though, and then it's down to you to refine these and find what works for you.
