Affiliates on Facebook

So I was uploading some photos on facebook last night and noticed a merchant I promote appearing on the profile page. Curious, I clicked on the ad and got taken to an affiliate site. Does anyone know how to get ads up on facebook?

I thought it might be something popping up google's content network but am not sure.

I've had a bit more success but it's very touch and go. Frustrating interface, impenetrable bidding algorithm and poor customer support.

facebook ads are mental! expect a CTR so low they dont have enough decimal places in the tracking to make it an accurate percentage.
