For me, I use Aweber. Basically, the whole concept of email marketing is to gather email addresses of site visitors and start sending them content via email.

Once in a while (quite often), you can send out promotional mails with a link to a product of yours or an affiliate link. This is where you can start to reap in some cash.

Some of the techniques required are ways to secure a person's email address, get them open your email and get them to click on your link inside your email.

I am using Get Response to do my email marketing. It all depends how much you want to pay for.

Aweber and Get Response are the two most popular autoresponders among the people.

I have chosen Streamsend I rewiewed GetResponse and Aweber but I didn't like the possibilities and support, StreamSend is more user-friendly and I had start my ferst campains - it sere suxxessful

It really depends how many mail records you have.

Many of the bigger mailers in the US are mailing 20-30 million (and more) email records a day and your not really going to get much joy out of an Aweber or Vertical Response or anything like that.

Having said that, for small lists Aweber handles the automatic response, double opt-in etc. very well as do most of the mail programs. Mailchimp is an interesting product in a similar vein, worth having a look, they have some interesting information on their site.

Can any one tell how much successful email marketing is? I mean per thousand emails sent, how many emails are opened? how many click on links in side email? & finally how many buy the product?. If any one has statistics please share.

It depends...

Sometimes it can reach your customers' spam box/junk mail filters, whether it just goes there or ur customers makes it so. Sometimes u must click on the verification link to prove u r not spam

Also, it can be that your email marketing use marketing words that are caught as spam words ... or triggering the spam filter to mark it as spam

Hi...i am new to this...but isnt email marketing..specially the ones that are sent without a person asking for it called as spamming...also use of automailers or responders make it more likely a spam...any assistance on the same subject would be helpful

Email Marketing is not spam as long as you know the right portion to send it

one per month is acceptable... send it to your subscribers only or your clients only... however, when someone unsubscribe ... then don't send it again to them ... that is how u respect the email receivers so that they dont blame you as spammers

Email marketing is a one of the tool for online marketing .You can try Mach5 tool for email marketing.But do follow some norms to make your email marketing successful.
As per my knoweldge according to industry standard resultant rate is 1-2%out of 100 . Rest the thing depends on which day you choose to send the mailer,how creative ur mailer is . Try to keep less text.people usally avoid reading more .
Also do include the option of unsubscribe the mail option,in order to avoid spamming.
Usually mondays are considered the Best day for Email marketing ,suggested in most of the write ups related to email marketing.

Be careful as Pommo is installed on your server - any problems with SPAM and your server will suffer. I rather pay per email I send. For example every campaign I send costs me £3 plus 2p per email. Pommo is free but when you get a problem with SPAM it is a serious issue.
