I guess the most obvious thing is that you don't have any unique content. You've only got a home page and an about us page.

You may also want to look at your SEO. Your home page's title is "Home". It ought to be something more relevant to your site - for example.

I'd also register your own domain name rather than hosting on homestead.com. Amongst other things, you may find that your site is showing as being located in the US rather than the UK.

If you are looking at it as a full time business, I would recommend purchasing traffic. Otherwise I would recommend looking at some seo tutorials and social bookmarking.

You have a long way to go mate, why not research seo, content and find out about Gardening? Iv seen DIY pamplets in B&Q and you could easily convert these into web content with pics etc etc.

www.woodiesdiy.ie - Its an Irish Diy chain but you can see how it should be done.

Half an hours work with some wordpress/html theme aint gonna cut it these days.

By the way a decent domain name is this one:

www.texasdiy.co.uk - All other Great Mills/Do it all urls point to Focus Diy now (They purchased those brands back in the 90's) and if you run a keyword search for "Texas Diy" it comes up quite a bit. Sitelinks anyone?

    Look at the adverts:

YouTube - Texas (DIY) advert Xmas 1993

    More research:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Focus_(DIY)_Ltd
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Mills_(DIY)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_It_All

I would echo the unique content suggestion, I would create a site with reviews of gardening equipment and also how to guides as findlite wisely suggested seems a good idea you have to look at your site objectively and decide whether you would stay on your site for more than a couple of seconds if you were a visitor.

Your affiliate links should be 'incidental' to the content and perhaps not be as obvious, why not do a "product of the week" feature and review/recommend a product sold by one of the merchants along with a link at the end of the article.

It would also be an idea to sign up for Google's webmaster tools if you have not done so and again as somebody else suggested to register your own domain name.

With some hard work and research you should be able to improve your sites look and hopefully with the increased content you would see more visitors.
