The ads blur the lines between content and advertising so we will be keeping them as they are for the foreseeable future. Users, without whom there would be no Facebook, wouldn't respond well to the more intrusive style of advertising, which is why the current ads work so well.

If you roll out new user interface/profile lay out and your profile is tagged as an advertiser then please make sure you make it easy for advertisers to find their advertising campaigns.
