    Ok, some stats from me...

I started with a basic Tweetdock campaign on Fri last week using one keyword phrase, I've since increased this to two.

I had 9 followers on Friday and now I've got over 80.

This was with a very basic one message campaign - I've now taken several steps to improve it.

So from what I can see so far it works very well, one of the best things is the automatic follow option that allows you to follow people with similar interests. I think too many people get caught up with the mantra of trying to have loads of followers and not follow many people themselves. This is a great tool to help you avoid that as well as general promotion.

So as far as I'm concerned it's a great little tool

Sounds interesting, I've only just discovered twitter and I'm not 100% sure what the hell to do with it!

I did wonder if it's possible to post the title of Wordpress posts to twitter as they're published - and whether that is a good idea or not?

Yes, it is possible to tweet everytime you make a new wordpress post. I havent done it myself, but i suggest WordPress › Twitter Tools WordPress Plugins would be good place to start

This indeed sounds like a fantastic idea although the potentital for getting your account suspended (particularly if you have already built up a healthy number of followers) is of primary concern to me.

I haven't quite got my head around how it would be best used but I looked at twitter.com/tweetdock to try to get an idea. The feed there doesn't look very inspiring (I would think it really needs mixing in with 'real' tweets so as to dilute the auto-generated stuff). Also, when I tried to decipher what tweets these were in reply to, it looked to be that it sometimes worked quite well (ie. a natural response) but at other times it looked a little unnatural (and arguably spammy). I guess how you choose your campaigns is critical.

Looking at another similar service, though, I notice they give you the option to moderate your replies. So, rather than your reply going straight out, you can first check on its appropriateness. This might sound like it defeats the object a little because it's less automated, but I think it would be a nice feature to try to ensure what you're doing isn't considered too spammy.

    What do you think?

    Hi,

Tweetdock already offers this service. Simply set your campaign to manual. You then see a list of users that you would have sent a message to, you then choose which to send to and discard the rest

Could you explain what you mean by the feed not looking very inspiring?

    Cheers,

    hc

Go to echo comments - very pleased with this so far hc. Such a simple concept, done very well (as are most success stories on the internet)

Ah, OK... sorry, I guess I should have created an account and had a look around first. :blush

I was referring to tweetdock.com (tweetdock) on Twitter and how all the tweets look the same.

May I ask how you propose to charge for the service? Would it be on a 'per tweet' basis?

I've now created an account and set up a couple of manual campaigns.

One quick question... if there are messages pending for approval, am I going to have to click on each campaign to go in and see, or will there be something on the main 'Your Campaigns' page which tells me I have some tweets that need 'moderating'. Obviously the latter would be preferable, particularly if you were to set up a large number of campaigns.

Thanks. Looks like a great product and with a very user-friendly front end. :tup

    Hi altyfc,

Ah, that does look a bit repetitive, just need to add a good few more messages to the campaigns, which is what I've been preaching to everyone else haha!

We are looking to charge a monthly subscription, with three possible options (bronze, silver and golf naturally!). The higher the band you go for the more campaigns you can run ;-) more details will be released as and when we confirm what you'll get for what price!

At the moment, you need to go into each campaign, as the software progresses we will be tweaking it so its easier to use, so this is something we could incoporate into those updates, cheers for the feedback

    Hi lufc,

Yep, thats meant to be like that. To activate the campaign, you need to press the red button, this will then turn green, showing the campaign as active

    cheers,
