Hey folks,
Tweetdock - Targeted Twitter Marketing is one of my newest projects.
Tweetdock allows you to send automated tweets from your Twitter accounts to users saying certain words or phrases.
For example, if you have a website promoting "Widgets" you can set Tweetdock to send a message to any Twitter users that mention the word "Widgets" and point them to your site.
The reason I am posting here... we are looking for some lovely test users! So if you are interested, head over to Tweetdock.com and sign upThe site needs a lot of work and we are looking to get as much feedback as possible.
Any questions, please feel free to post here or pm me.
Cheers,
hc

Thanks James
before blogging please bear in mind it is pretty bare at the moment and needs a lot of tweaking
but that's why we've opened it for testing
let me know if you need a hand with anything.

I've just signed up and have a couple of questions.
What do I put in the section for Campaign Reply. Is it just a thank you or a link back or what?
In the Distance section do I just leave it blank for world wide or put in UK for the, err, UK. Or does it need something else?

I was about to ask the same question as above regarding geo-targeting

Like it a lot mark, will be signing up when i get a moment.
Hey folks,
thanks very much for showing an interest
I will be working on some video tutorials to make the whole process a lot easier to understand.
Will be working on getting a few basic things sorted first though
OK... heres the process in a quick step by step...
1. sign up @ Tweetdock - Targeted Twitter Marketing - Target Keywords & Hashtags Automatically
2. verify your email address to activate your account
3. goto the Twitter Accounts Tab to associate your twitter account with Tweetdock (dont worry all passwords are encrypted)
4. Now you are ready to start a campaign, head over to the campaigns tab and click "Add a new campaign"
5. Campaign name is simply what you would like to call the campaign.
6. Twitter account - you can associate as many twitter accounts as you like to Tweetdock, so this is where you choose which account is the correct one for this campaign.
7. Campaign Reply Messages - this is where some people are getting stuck... basically whatever you type here will be the @ reply that will be sent to the users that meet your criteria. So for example if you are promoting a biscuits website, you may want to say something along the lines of "I see you mentioned biscuits, take a gander at our website www.ilovebiscuits.com" (pretty bad example but you get the drift lol). Now, you can add as many replies as you like per campaign, and honestly, the more the better. Tweetdock sends messages hourly (1-5 messages, you define how many you'd like to be sent). If you are sending the same message 5 times an hour it wont look very good on your twitter profile page, so I'd suggest putting maybe 7-10 messages for Tweetdock to choose from at random.
8. Number of Messages per hour - self explanatory
9. Message Sending - OK if you opt to send messages automatically, the messages will send every hour, without you having to do anything. If you set it to manual, the messages wont be sent until you have decided which ones you'd like to be sent
10. Automatically Follow - If "Yes" is selected, Tweetdock will make your Twitter account automatically follow everyone that you send a message to (or if you are using manual mode, everyone who meets the criteria!)
11. Your Criteria - Fill out your criteria for the search. so for biscuits, simply put the word biscuits in the "All of these words" field. It will then send messages to anyone who uses the word biscuits.
12. Geo-Targeting - To send worldwide you simply leave this bit blank. We are working on how to send just to the UK. At the moment twitter only allows you to search for tweets from people within a certain distance from a location. So you could put within 200 miles of Manchester for example. However you cannot simply put "UK". We will work on this and get back to you
13. Submit the campaign. Once you have submitted, the campaign is not live (yet). Just click on the red button under "Status" and this will activate your campaign.
Once your campaign has been activated, sit back and watch the magic happen
Messages are sent once an hour, so wait and hour then check your twitter account and you will see you have sent some @ replies
Please Please keep the questions coming. I really appreciate the feedback so far! We will be taking all comments on board.
Cheers,
hc

Great marketing idea, although i dont use Twitter yet cause i dont really like some of the font size and the dirty url structure. while you are trying to add innovation to it, dont you think some big coconut head will take advantage of your technology to SPAM at Twitter. Take for example, catching the phrase "Love, Girl friend, Lady, Val and trying to sell some adult link with the url. Restricting it to people in your network will also make your objective defeated.

Still getting to grips with it, but I think (from your results last night) that it sends out message to @xxxxxxx rather than replies to @xxxxxxx ?
