Facebook's @Mentions is a huge competitive threat to Twitter's main purpose.

By launching this feature, those who preferred Twitter's instantanous reach will now be able to do exactly the same thing with a social network as vast and popular as Facebook.

Could this spell the beginning of the end of Twitter?

the launching of @Mention feature by facebook will make it more user friendly and i think that more members would better enjoy using this social network media. but i dont think that would trigger to the end or fall of twitter. i would say that this new feature would give a better competition.
