    Hey all,

I like to use the power of the Social Networks to drive traffic to my sites, but as mentioned by others on here the vast majority of that traffic tends to be from the USA.

As I am in the UK that doesn't really do me much benefit, question is are there any Social Networks anybody knows of that concentrate solely on the UK or generate the majority of their traffic from the UK??

    Many thanks

Hey..if you're still interested in doing this, WaynesWorld is launching in Feb next year and will be exclusively UK market for the first year or so...the Professional profile is really an excellent tool - far superior to the existing tools available at the mo. Let me know if you need more info!

How much will it cost and for what sort of return? Will it bring a lot of traffic?

It's free at a basic level...so no risk. Re traffic - it will of course depend on what you're offering but the site as a whole should be bringing in a relatively high volume of users (in the region of 1-3 million regular users) within the first 3 months.

I'd stick to Twitter and Facebook, although they are both US based sites they have a great UK presence on the social networking scene and building the right group and twitter following targeted to the UK, then it will work better than trying to focus on smaller niche UK based social networks.

Hi, I'am new here, and as you say, I've joined a few of the social networks, facebook, myspace, twitter (which I don't understand much), so any of you lot think that they are good for driving traffic, some how I feel that I'm spamming when I use them

If people have chosen to follow you on facebook or twitter then it can't be classed as spamming. As long as you have something interesting to say and don't sound too "spammy" they'll not stop following you.
