Which is better ?

There is facebook and twitter, which one is better for advertising/promoting our site ?
Or there is any other site which is better than these ?

Use them both, they both have advantages as well as being free. They are the only 2 social networking sites I would consider spending any time marketing on

In my opinion Facebook is better than Twitter. Facebook, Orkut, Twitter and My Space are good examples of social Networking. Most of the time I use Facebook than other social networking sites. I enjoy FaceBook for finding old friends and relatives who live thousands of miles away. I play games because they are innovative and creative. Games which I like are Farmtown and Farmville.

I think facebook is the best for advertising any website.As i think facebook has more followers than twitter.facebook has more applications and people feel more comfortable on facebook.

Facebook and twitter both are great but it depends on how the platform is utilized. With twitter, you can follow ample of people at a time but on facebook you have a lot of restrictions. It will be only beneficial if we can interract with new people on twitter and for better understanding ask them to join us on facebook. This way, we can improve the list of targeted people on facebook.

It really depends what do you want to achieve? are you looking for just social networking, games, advertise, brand awareness etc then you need to understand the platform, its users, types, opportunities etc. Here is the image i downloaded the other day to view potential in both if i have to advertise (not just paid) on them.

Both seem to offer substantial benefits, but as with everything its targeting thats the real benefit. I believe with Facebook you can target specific areas of interest and demographics, which will increase relevant conversion rates.

It depends on market and audience. If your audience is teens, most probably you will succeed with Twitter. If your audience is young businesmen, then definitely you should use Facebook. Another issue is local habits. Some countires have specific habits. For Example eastern European countries do not use Twitter so frequently, but they stay in facebook for more than average time.

It entirely depends on what your target audience will be using. I find mine tend to use Facebook more than Twitter and many don't use Twitter at all!

Find out where your target audience are and focus there.

It's hard to see which one is better, Facebook or Twitter. Each one has its own benefit. In my opinion, I prefer Facebook.

Both Facebook and Twitter are equally important. The most important thing is building a network. This takes times but when you have a strong network of friends and groups and followers in Twitter, creating and maintaining an online presence would be easy.
