Just a quick one to see who's using Pinterest?

I'm at Hannah Swift (hannahswifty7) on Pinterest

Looks like it's becoming a significant traffic driver in some circles!

Hi, are you using it for purely personal stuff or a mixture?

I've started to hear a lot about it recently but from what I've read you have to be realy carefull with just how commercial you come across. Is that what youve discovered?

One more thing did you get put onto a waiting list before you could join?

What do you think of pinterest? Have you found it easy to use? I am thinking of starting to use it and wanted to found out what people think of it first.

We’re thinking the same thing; I’ve been seeing about it for few weeks and got really intrigued. I suppose it is interesting since it is a photo sharing site. Do you strictly have to ask for invitation to join or there is other way?

I signed up to pinterest. You have to request a invite and wait for them to accept you. They accepted me after about a day, they then sent me an email asking me to link through Facebook or Twitter, has any one done this?

LOL. Considering that most of the pinterest users are females, then I guess it is. By the by, I read about people getting traffic from Pinterest without even having pinterest accounts themselves. People pinned images from their site and traffic just started coming in.

Yes I had been getting some traffic from Pinterest and so decided to join. It seems to be working well. I think it is particularly good for anything visual, I am in fashion, but also interiors, food, fitness etc.

I have also used for my clients and found video works particularly well, also quotes made into images and infograms. Also remember to give your boards interesting names and tag with keywords.

I have linked my account through Twitter but not Facebook. You get the option to Tweet each time you pin, I don't do it everytime as it might be a bit much so just say every 10th pin.

I am here StyleEyes (styleeyes) on Pinterest

Is there anyone who can explain the very basics of Pinterest? What are its greatest advantages and disadvantages?

I'm on there but I haven't really done much with it yet. I have seen some people drive some pretty impressive traffic from Pinterest though to their sites... particularly people with websites in niches that are popular with the Pinterest demographics.

I've been using it for a few months now, and although I like it from a business point of view it can be hard to know what will be liked or rep pinned so there is the dilemma do you quickly fill up your boards will everything you blog about and look spammy, or take a slow and methodical approach?
