So this is social media at work is it? Time to have a play then and see if it works.

I've set up a community at A4U for ex pats, from any country who find themselves living off affiliate market income in whichever guise. I moved to Bucharest, from England, at the end of March 2007 and I'm keen to hear of other people's adventures, plans, how they're getting on, coping, what's coming next etc.

Maybe in time a few of us could work on a project or two, who knows, so if you're out there travelling or residing abroad and wish to link up with other expats of varying origins, then climb on board and we'll see how it goes. This is my first foray into networking and communities so you're not the only one wondering what it's all about. But if you fit the bill, get on stage and shout about it.

Something I intend to join, just as soon as I can - nothing against the UK but I have a dream of living good in Mexico with a business or two that doesn't take all my time!

Yes, something I am looking to do, Funny enough I also am looking at mexico, I was there earlier in the year and going back in june.

Very tempted to up sticks and move to Cancun, its my paradise!

Yes, I'm sure it's an ideal for most, it's been about 45 days so far and I'm yet to see if they will let me stay past three months so I'll have to do that soon but it's fun, time goes quickly but at others times slow, I must confess to not having done much work barring selling domains and a few datafeed updates but it's brought the money in, just need to stop spending it.

DJ Tieste is doing an open air gig in Revolution 'Square' Thursday night - even mates didn't know, they're glad I told them - so if the weather holds out that should be good, I'm lucky in a way as I know people here and they, Romanians, have been very welcoming indeed. I need to get out more though but this weather is knackering me, you'd think I'd moved to Barbados.

It would be great to see people sign up, I know there's at least a dozen of us that have moved abroad, I just hope I get to stay here as I really don't want to go back to the UK, I can't afford to live there and not because I didn't have the money, I just find the prices they're asking for things a liberty and a cheek. Ten years of Labour, a strong economy so called by robbing the citizens of a nation.

Ah well, it took me a while to figure out I had to leave so as to live again but I'm here and it's the adventure as well, I'd only ever been to France on a day trip as a child, Budapest for football in 2004 for a week and then Bucharest to move and I'd never even set foot in the country before and was homeless when I got here, blinding aint it haha

Perhaps I'm Gypsy. Join up when you're about to make the move or want to, it'll be good if we can help you make it happen, someone on another forum who knows my story sent me email the other day saying thanks for spurring him on, he's now decided to sell up and move to Greece. Happy days.
