It takes a very large number of 'diggs' before you'll see any benefit. From experience, you'll get the same amount of visitors from having 20 people digg your article, as you do from just one peson digging the article.

...and what if your posts/articles are simpy bad? It'll not do the digger any favours to be digging articles that really shouldn't be digged, dug, oh you know what I mean. Especially now they gone all 'social networking' on us. Have you seen the new account layout?

There's a theory that if you have to digg your own articles, they probably shouldn't be dug at all. I can only imaging what they say about articles that need to dug by "friends" as well.

Also, you risk having your digg account deleted if you're discovered gaming the system. I speak from personal experience. No really, I do.

Lastly, social networks are like any group of people. They have natural leaders within the community. As soon as one of these leaders decide you should be cast out (for spamming, gaming the system etc), you may as well pack up your tent and move on.

DIGG isn't worth the time IMHO only if you do this full-time.

So what's the point of making $50/day from adsense when 7 days later you'll see $1 or $2 USD once the traffic 'cools down'.

That's just depressing
