By which of course I mean revenue streams

I would like to set up a site for public debate but although I like the idea, how is it going to make enough money to justify the work that needs to be put in ?

How and what do you sell to that demographic... where's the need to click..

Can't find any sites doing it effectively in that area, mostly forum based like ForandAgainst.com - The Best Place to State Your Case which seems to run 1 banner..

    Hi Lawcom,

You won't know if it's justifiable until you do it. Get off the fence and go for it.

You sell it to the demographic by segmenting the debate.

for and against is a spaghetti of debates; you can't match any Ads with the right consumer on it. So, no one will want to buy any Advertising space. Hence the 1 banner of woe.

    Good luck with your project!

    Thanks for the post..

The lack of responce makes me feel I was right in that there are little if any affiliate revenue drivers.. but I think it may be open to alternatives..

PublicDebate.co.uk could be big, if you are doing a site on Public Debate then that is the perfect domain..

I'm wondering if I should go down the funding route, it has possibilities..
