Using Datafeeds

Just wondering how people have used the datafeeds offered by TD/AW and the likes. It would be great if the feeds were offered as a webservice/RSS feed as theres no easy/dynamic way to update product information.

I have a music/band website (www.northwestbands.co.uk) where I'm hoping to have a datafeed of musial instruments, whereby site members can rate projects and give reviews.

I'd like to hear any suggestions/guidelines you may have before I get my hands mucky with the code.

I have just started using Affilistore, which I like, although it still doesn't do as much as I want or in the manner I want (oh, for that perfect script that does everything!).

I have also heard that word press now has a mod to import datafeeds, but as I have never used the program don't know anything about it.
