Social Bookmarking sites

Hi Guys,

Apologies for reposting this but I posted it on the wrong forum

We've just launched a brand spanking new site and quite excitingly we've finally got on the blog bandwagon. We'll be writing lots of very techy web development related articles and we'd like to get some good traffic from places like Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit etc and preferably some more specialist sites.

That sounds easy, but I've heard that the profile of the sumbitter is all important and that if you just join digg, reddit etc and submit all your own articles you're not likely to get anywhere.

So, does anyone know of any professionals that can help? I'm guessing this is what "social media optimization" is all about. I've found several services on google when searching for "social bookmark submission", but none of them look amazingly trustworthy to be honest.

With sites like digg and stumble upon, it is important to build a profile. Make friends that sort of thing

I don't think you need a professional bookmarking whatever

Set up your profile, bookmark your pages paying careful attention to the discription, bookmark other peoples pages that are interesting

Become other peoples' fans and make friends

I came across a profile on one of the sites that joined 2 days ago and has over 500 friends

Obviously he has been busy

We just submit url and post summery of story and submit it in site. All social sites has same format for bookmarking.

Well dpending on your budget i may be able to help, its important to get quality content otherwise diggers and stumbleupon users wont look at it

Look at getting some content written about your site that will attract links, offer something free, tell people something amazing, also look at twitter and facebook

Does anybody know if it is possible to post one submission to multiple Social bookmarks at the same time??

For example I like to use Stumble, Furl, Mister Wong, Delicious and Magnolia can I send my link to all five at once or do I have to do 5 posts??
