Has anyone tried this plugin? Any feed backs? Is there anything else which could be used to upload the datafeed on your site?
Thanks,
Ninad
I have created a plugin that allows you to create an affiliate website from a datafeed using wordpress as a CMS.
You simply upload the CSV file, away you go the plugin will create a post for each of the products in the datafeed.
You can also assign a unique field to each post (product_id for example) and then re-upload new datafeed files when they are updated. You posts will then be updated not only with new products but also any that have changed.

Version 0.8 of the plugin has been release, this is a minor release to make the plugin work with Wordpress 2.8
Wordpress Datafeed Import Plugin - Create websites from Affiliate Datafeeds using wordpress
The easiest way to import post from csv files>> :tup I find it quite useful.
I have just updated the plugin to version 0.9. It now includes support for pipe and tab separated files along with a fantastic new feature that allows you to schedule or drip feed your posts.
You have full control over how many are published and at what intervals.

If you are already a customer you can download the latest version for free from your control panel.
Wordpress Datafeed Import Plugin now updated to version 1.0 with the ability to get datafeeds from URLs and schedule re-importing of that feed at specified intervals.
This means that with the plugin you can create a fully automated site that keeps it's self up-to-date.
Also coming soon a new website with user forum and video tutorials.
Remember all customers get free upgrades so if you are a customer don't forget to download the latest version from your control panel.
Wordpress Datafeed Import Plugin - Create websites from Affiliate Datafeeds using wordpress
Hi all
Just launched a Major upgrade to the Wordpress Datafeed Import Plugin and a new website to go with it. The plugin now has a better more usable interface, it handles multiple datafeeds which can't be set-up independently of each other with their own template and own update schedule.
I have also added custom field support, the ability to filter the import based on keyword and the ability to import a range of records rather than the whole datafeed.
There are many more features that have been added have a look at
Wordpress Datafeed Plugin for more details.
If you are an existing customer do not forget to download your free upgrade.
I still have many more features that I would like to write for the plugin so there will be new releases coming in the New Year.
Hi all
I have released another version of the datafeed import plugin for Wordpress. This version contains both minor fixes to make the plugin work with the latest version of Wordpress (2.9) and also a new facility where you can have many advanced filters and therefore filter the import of your datafeed based on multiple keyword.
If your datafeed relates to cars, and the columns are Make, Model, Colour you can use the filters to set it up so that it only imports
VW Beatles that are Pink or Red or Yellow
or
VW Beatles that are not black
I think that the added flexibility of multiple keyword filtering will help marketers in niches to pick out the products they want from datafeeds rather than taking the whole lot and manually editing them.

Hi Matt
That sounds really good and an extremely useful upgrade. This has become an excellent tool to help me produce niche sites quickly and accurately.
Good luck with it.
Thanks Leaddo, hope you and you family are well.
Hi all
I have just updated the plugin with some minor updates. This fixes some issues with the database checks and some of the warning issues under some PHP configurations.
I have had some users who have had difficulty using the plugin and it turns out that they are running PHP4. The plugin will only work with PHP5 so I am adding this to the website to make it clear.

I have also launched a sister product the Amazon import plugin. Have a look at the online demo at Wordpress Amazon Import Plugin

I use these plugins and find them to be the best csv importers. Very easy to use and an effective way to import product feeds to wordpress pages.
For a live example, have a look at my Cordless Phone site.
NIce site gadget, I may have already asked you thing but can I add it to the site gallery on the plugins website? It will give you a free link back if nothing else.

Just got the Amazon datafeed for wordpress and I think it's pretty good. Just playing around with it at the moment, but would really like to use it on a site I'm rebuilding.
What I've realised, or perhaps have missed, is that I can't pull through the full product description, only the editorial review. I was using a manual api tool previously where you just put in the asin and you could pull through a lot more fields from the api than you can with this. Also, some images which show in the manual tool don't appear here (perhaps there are several image fields in the api??).
I'm sure there are many improvements in the pipeline, but these would be quite useful for me at least.
Cheers.
