Sorry if this is a stupid question but i've not really worked with Wordpress before and have just spent the last couple of days trying out new themes and finding my way round the software.

One thing i was wondering is if it is possible to display products from a .CSV file (product feed) in wordpress and how to go about it ?

    Cheers

    Graham

Contact Jason about his Import CSV Plugin.

Import CSV Pro - Import Affiliate Datafeeds and Custom CSV Files

It's a paid for plugin but very effective.

Apart from building PHP scripts to handle affiliate feeds, I use Navicat (navicat.com) to handle all my MySQL data, it can import from almost anything (excel, csv, .txt, html, access, .db) and stick it in mysql, it can then export into almost anything as well, well worth the £45 it costs..

This is probably more of a heavy-weight solution rather than an addon but you could try AffiliStore. I use this for a few web properties. Their customer support via forum is awesome.

Even if you add the Affilistore to a sub-folder or a sub-domain, it doesn't use the Wordpress CMS.

I'm not saying anything bad about Affilistore ( I used to use it myself ), it doesn't answer the question though.

I second the vote for ImportCSV. I've been using it for a few weeks now and am really happy with it. There is a free version but the paid one has by far more functionality.

Another plugin to throw into the mix is the one I have developed. It is unique in that it does not require any formatting of the CSV files and you can choose to use any number of columns anywhere in you post.

It analyzes your CSV file for the columns and gives each a reference, you create a template using those references

I am about to launch a new version of the plugin (you get free upgrades to all versions) which allows multiple feeds each with their own template, import and update schedules.

You can even import from URLs and make the plugin automatically update your site giving a fully automated site.
