6th was a bit down on average, but the 11th was up, with sales throughout the day.
I have had suspicions for a long time that at certain times TD tracking stops working and I lose out as a consequence. There are two days this month were this is appears to be clearly evident to me :
06/04/03 - Income 94% down on daily average for the month.
11/04/03 - Income 92% down on daily average for the month.
Anyone else notice a sharp drop in sales / leads on these two days ? This is not very scientific I know but i see paterns in my stats and these days dont fit the pattern. There was no down time on my sites on these days so Is it just me or did anyone else have a problem on these days ? Feedback is as always appreciated.

Cant say I've noticed much apart from a bit of a lul on the 5th of this month. I seem to have a few 'off days' with TD where revenue doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the month but it's never more than a few quid.
Taking the average earnings for the for the month April 1st to April 13th.
On the 6th April there was aprox. a 24.5% Drop (which is just within margins before alarm bells start ringing)
But, on the 11th April we experienced approx. a 58.5% drop which coincides with your date.
We can't assume anything at the moment, but someone did post on this forum about unusual fluctuations.
How does yours compare for the 11th, 15th and 16th March?
Harris/QGJ,
Are the majority of your sales coming from a wide spread of merchants or just one or two?
Perhaps it's problems at the merchants end rather than TD?
Based on averages for the month, the 6th and 11th where 15% and 20% down respectively.
However, the 6th was a Sunday so not too surprising.
Generally, I would expect my users to notify me if they don't see their transactions as they are rewarded for them.
Although it's early days I've hardly noticed any real tracking issues. With one merchant aside (BingoLiner who have not tracked 4 confirmed sales) the fail rate is marginal. I'll pull some numbers at a future date when I have more meaningful stats for comparison but currently less than 0.3% against a sample of my 1000 oldest transactions and thats not allowing for 'user errors'. (User error in this case could easily account for half, if not all of these!).
I think it's easy to become convinced that tracking isn't working on a quiet day, I do too, but until now I haven't seen any real evidence of tracking issues on a 'network wide basis'.
With any network it's usually the 80/20 rule i.e. 80% of revenue comes from 20% of merchants. But some of the main earners did under perform on these days.
Sorry to be difficult. 6th - best day this month by about +10%. 11th, smack on the average. 5th however was dire!
Hi my 11th April earnings were very low - £2.53 as opposed to an daily average of £130. Also a known order was never tracked on this day. This happens to me from time to time.I stopped calling TD about this and just accept that orders are lost in tracking. The other noted days were also low,in particular 11th March but not as low as the 11th April.
Spatny,
I would strongly suggest informing the network and the merchant if you are aware of missing sales.
If someone has strong reasons to believe sales are going missing it is vital that the merchant can look into it to ensure there is not a problem with their systems.
Yes, sometimes you will get the odd issue with cookies, however as you state that a 'known order' was lost in tracking, I would suggest passing on the details and getting it looked into.

6th of April was my best day of the month, the 11th was my worst.
With TD I've got so used to my earnings dropping by 75% or more in a day I don't worry about it any more. Sometimes it will be the start of a bad run of a few days, but things usually recover fairly quickly.
Despite earning a similar amount with CJ, it's very unusual for sales to drop to below 50% of my average in a day, and I can't remember ever having a day when it's fallen by 75% (other than xmas day).
I can't explain why TD's performance fluctuates like this. I've looked into it several times before and I've not found a pattern relating to specific merchants.
6th was below average for me - 11th was virtually non-existent!
I regularly buy stuff via my own links and would say only about half are every accounted for

I would be very worried about that if I was you, as all my staff and I buy stuff all the time and I ask them to recorded the event, not had a problem with anyone on any network as yet. Noticed one that didn't record the tracking code but the sale still showed so that was not an issue.
I really think that some issues are down to other events, software, merchant’s site down (I bet if you went over every merchant on all networks right now you would find a few of them down) and so on. The problem is that because it's a part of the sales event you can't see as an affiliate, so you then don't trust it. It doesn’t help with tracking horror story's when someone updates a site and forgets to add the code back in. The networks should have systems in place to monitor this and I really don't think any of them do this at present.
For my own company (merchant side of business) I do sales every day, some days I can do just a couple on each site and another day I can do 30+. I know my sales all track at all times so it can only be down to other events that I have yet not worked out, soon as I do I will be making 60+ a day LOL![]()
Income comes from a spread of merchants. Obviously no real pattern but a few people say they thought the numbers fell on the 11th. Thanks for the feedback though.
yep 11th was the worst day of the month and it isn't easy to have any idea why! Clicks were recorded as normal but sales were very poor.
