Thanks JF
I can see it in my account balance - in the breakdown report but how can you tell that the loans haven't been put through?
Alliance and Leicester's credit card transactions for October are now on the system.
No sign of loan transactions yet though.
Thanks JF
I can see it in my account balance - in the breakdown report but how can you tell that the loans haven't been put through?
The event breakdown report tells you what the transactions are for in the "Event" column. All mine say "Credit Cards".
Also if you look at the A&L overview report for October, the amounts for each day are multiples of £20, which is what they pay for credit cards, loans pay £50 or £70.
OK - I haven't got any loans transactions either and they just look like they are Oct transactions.
49p per click for me at the moment - not too bad but about the same as before the changeover to batch.
I earned more than I expected from credit cards, but I won't know how the new system compares until I see the full stats, I used to earn most of my commission from loans.
It is probably now getting a litttle beyond acceptable on this tedious delay.
Has any fellow compatriot have any further news or perhaps TD post an official deadline on this forum?
So far, there have been too many reassurances, but nothing forthcoming.
All we see is an invoice for commissions before the new approval process, it must be about two months now?
Come on someone must know something?
Brought this thread back to the fore, to incite a bit of feedback.
Has anyone had any sales under the new batch system.
A simple Yes or No will suffice.
Upon discussion with TD, it was inferred that TD have no way of knowing which orders were approved or not.
It is totally left to the merchants discretion...umm
TD said the first batch has gone through, but no commission on our good traffic levels
We know of several approved transactions which took place, for which we have told TD one of them to investigate
Unfortunately we feel we are going to have to ring TD regularly on this until resolution.
If they come back and say we are going to be credited for one sale, that would not be accepatble due to other transactions we know took place.
Call it gut reaction or intuition but this program is leaving an unsavory taste in the pallet.
They have uploaded credit card transactions for October (£520, more than I expected), but no loan transactions.
Maybe they'll tell me I didn't get any loan transactions in October, but if they do I think they would be ripping me off, most of my commission used to come from loans, that's what I spend all my PPC money on, and at the moment it looks like I've made a big loss.
Also they said they would upload the data once a week from the start of November. The only update so far was on 27/11.
In answer to the query yes I had some Credit Card transactions validated for October. Earnings were a little down on what I used to get per lead but as they are not my biggest CC merchant I am not too worried about that.
However I did do well on loans with them. The fact that no loan transations have been uploaded is nothing short of a discrace. Coupled with the lack of feedback on this program I moved them right down my panel and have obtained a far better independant deal to replace them.
The only way that merchants and TD will realise that this sort of behaviour is unacceptanble is when we hit them where it hurts, by cuttting off there traffic.
I imagine quite a few of you have lost quite a bit of money by putting your faith in TD and Alliance Leicester on this one.
Does anyone have the telephone number for the affiliate manager at Alliance and Leicester or the agent heading this program.
If the person responsible is based at Alliance and Leicester's personal finance building I can go and have a few polite words with them, it's only a couple of hundred yards away from me.
I have established it is inhouse at their office in Leicester.
I requested name and details from TD, as our complaint and transaction example not been followed up by TD from last week which is totally unacceptable.
We have given them an ultimatum of 5pm today. This is totally inexcusable to allow this to simply sit in the tray and do nothing about it.
They said they would rather contact them first before we do, for which I cannot fathom why?
It sometimes makes me wonder if they have the substance to chase poor paying merchants rather than lapse into delayed invoices (which is gradually improving) or these written off funds.
Anyway, this is side tracking.
TD called at 5:04pm, saying the affiliate manager is away until Thursday.
I called TD today but they REFUSED to furnish us with the contact details of the affiliate manager, until they have at least spoken to them. Well, they have had ample opportunity, and shows if you want something done you have got to do it yourself, and we have been totally unimpressed with TD with the vain attempt in resolving the matter.
Upon calling the Alliance and Leicester HO, it was a merry go round as nobody knew what ecommerce or affiliate marketing was. Eventually the following contacts were attained.
Telephone Number 0116-201-1000
Liz Baldwin - Commercial eCommerce Department
Alan Boyd - eCommerce Marketing
Alan said via the switchboard that Liz Baldwin deals with the affiliate program and is back in on Thursday.
Qui Gon Jinn. Thanks for pursuing them on this. At the moment this episode has cost me quite a bit as I gave them the benefit of the doubt for over a month.
I have tried with TD myself on this matter and a number of times before with other merchants when I have had problems. Unlike DGM & CJ they simply do not seem to care.
I have never had to go as far as contacting the merchant direct but I am glad that you have in this instance as they really are taking the mick.
