    Hi,

I want to be able to know which users clicked on a banner or ad and succesfully completed the account opening or purchase that resulted in cash flow back through TD.

    Is this possible?

Obviously it is within my control to work out who clicked on a banner, but I can't see who actually completed a full transaction?

I've seen some info on TD regarding third party trackers, but can't work out if that is what I need or how that gets reported back.

    Please advise, thanks.

    Hi Shocking,

You can track which user completed a sale from your links by using our EPI reporting.

With EPI you need to assign a value for each user and after implementing EPI to your tracking links you will be able to see the EPI values in the event breakdown report on your account and track them back to your users.

EPI - Enhanced publisher integration - reporting allows you to uniquely identify a specific TradeDoubler tracking link, and view performance data on how well each unique EPI encoded link has performed.

EPI is extremely easy to use and requires one parameter, which you decide and append to the TradeDoubler tracking URL. The parameter can be both letters and numbers or any combination thereof. The parameter can at the most include 64 characters.

Adding EPI to a standard TradeDoubler tracking link:

If you take a standard tracking link, in this case 101CD:

    http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?...ite_id)g(17313)

To add EPI functionality to this link, simply append EPI(yourcodehere) on the end, as demonstrated below:

    http://clkuk.tradedoubler.com/click?...i(yourcodehere)

Adding EPI to a standard TradeDoubler tracking to a JavaScript banner:

If you take a JavaScript banner, in this case Jamster:

    <script language="JavaScript" src=http://impgb.tradedoubler.com/imp/1059251/913664 charset="ISO-8859-1"></script>

To add EPI functionality to this banner, simply insert your EPI code in square brackets directly after the last numerical digit in the code, as demonstrated below:

    <script language="JavaScript" src="http://impgb.tradedoubler.com/imp/1059251/913664[blue-widget]" charset="ISO-8859-1"></script>

The EPI code does not need to be registered, or created in the TradeDoubler system prior to you appending the EPI code to a TradeDoubler tracking link/banner. TradeDoublers proprietary tracking technology will automatically record any EPI code you have appended to a tracking URL or banner, however please avoid using spaces and punctuation marks in the EPI code as our system can sometimes experience problems.

You can find more information in the Help Centre on your account. Alternatively please email support.uk@tradedoubler.com or submit a ticket using the support form.

    Kind Regards,
