Thread: Anyone else having problems getting payment from Tradedoubler?

    It is with regret that I have to resort to a public forum but after discussing the issue privavtely with Tradedoubler since November 2008 for commissions earned last August & September to no avail, I feel that I have no other option.

    For nearly nine months I have been chasing Tradedoubler for £5,800. Despite promises every month that every thing is resolved I have yet to receive payment. The problem is evidently the Finance team being behind on reconciliations, invoicing clients & credit control.

    Is anyone else in this situation? If you are I would appreciate you dropping a note on this thread or pm me as I am considering options.

    I'm shocked to hear it's been months for you, they need to pay every month on time.
    I'm still awaiting someone from TD to reply to my topic with an update and some information, so far nobody bothers to look into it...

    Sigh...

    Yup I've a couple of grand sat there since Jan/Feb this year, I've chased it several times as it bugs me that the merchants are still live yet I'm unpaid.

    After several emails back and forth to no avail, TD rang to say they are looking into it yet nothing happens, those merchants are still live and still being promoted yet as they were one off promotions they haven't been paid along with the normal payments by the merchants apparently.

    bigger boots needed in the accounts dept IMO, waiting half a year or more to get paid is a complete joke!

    personally I don't see the issue here.. TD should send an invoice, if it doesn't get paid they stop promoting that merchant till all outstanding bills are paid!.. simples!!

    having just looked at the next payment due, it's not in there so is STILL not sorted out..!!

    In my case, the problem has been created by TD as they have muddied the water by purchasing media on behalf of the client and their internal processes are not geared up to handle these types of transactions.

    I have been lenient with their finance department up until now as I know how difficult it is to create a shared service centre and implement the necessary processes & internal controls to handle payments (been there and done it!). However, month after month finance have not managed to reconcile accounts and invoice the end client and unless I have chased the issue every other week they would probably be blissfully unaware of the problem.

    I used to rate tradedoubler very highly, however it does show how a support function like finance can tarnish a brand's reputation - in this instance the end client has switched networks, so TD are being adversely affected from both advertiser & publisher perspective.

    To be fair to the guys in the UK, they have chased the issue but TD group in my opinion have not grappled with the problem with enough vigour. Perhaps I should offer my services as an interim FD!
