Wow thats a nice upgrade.
But what is "limited time" ? I could move my CJ links over but then I would have to wait to get approved.. which could take upto 3 months :O
+ How long will this rate stay.
Hello all,
For a limited time only LloydsTSB are increasing their commission rates to a massive:-
GBP75 for every Home Insurance sale
GBP60 for every Car Insurance sale
That has to be worth space on any website - even those not actively promoting insurance!
Lloyds cited conversion rates of 4-5% too - can anyone say Zurich :P?
Any questions - you know the drill.

Anyone know if they are going to offer the same through CJ before I start switching all my links as I opted to use their programs through CJ.
Will
Just checked CJ the same comm rate is available their give or take a few pence depending on exchange rates.
Will
Hi all,
we beleive this offer will last a few months initially with the possibility of this becoming a permanent rate.
Hope this helps,
Nick
Nick, great news but at the same times, its such a shame.....
Why do ALL merchants have to approve with the TD network? I applied earlier this morning to LTSB via TD and would quite happily have waited a couple of days, maybe weeks, or in some cases I have know it to take month to hear/get approved.
However, thanks to Pericoms post, I went straight to CJ, applied, got approved, and now have the linking code in less than 1 minute. So I guess I will be using CJ as my network for this merchant.
Surely the waiting around for merchants to approve sites, such as this example, affects TD?
Are there any plans to change this, to a structure similar to that being used by CJ, DGM, AW, AF... come to think about it, nearly every other network?
I have to agree with Frostie, I know quite a few have TD at the top of their list, but for me personally I prefer to use the other networks.
It's annoying when you end up getting confirmation/rejection ages after you apply for the program. For new sites that are yet to go live (as you need to create the site, add the aff links etc)many merchants reject you meaning I can't add their links to the site (or I could but they won't work if I'm rejected and I don't know how long it will take to be re-considered).
Sorry for this going off topic. Maybe it should be put in a new thread?!
Cheers

I know that in the past Merchants did take a long time to approve their affiliates, but this has greatly improved and now we keep a keen eye on this, and intervene. If you have occasion to differ, please let us know, but from my perspective and from what I have seen over last few months, this is no longer a major problem.
With a promotion like this, we certainly don't sit back and allow affiliates to wait.
Thanks

I understand what you are saying, but look at it from my point of view, as an affiliate.
- I applied this morning via the TD link, and so far have not been accepted or declined.
- I later applied via CJ, have been accepted, and the link is in place and is already obtaining traffic.
It is this waiting malarky that is frustrating and driving me, and suspect a few others, to choose a different network over TD. As for in the future, I am reluctant to change my links from one network to another, unless there is a unique reason, or the commission is greater by more than a few pence.
Is there no plans to change this to a similar way of working that other networks have adapted?
I also applied this morning and have gone with CJ tonight as still awaiting TD, i'll only swap to TD if somehow they drop CJ
I think 4 working hours should be a maximum time frame in this modern high tech world
I often apply to TD merchants, forget once it drops of the TD home page, miss the email a couple of weeks later in my spam mountain and move on to the next amazing promotion etc.
SPEED is king, and this painful process is losing TD money

Given todays skydive in the $ value, the value of the CPA has swung in TDs favour, meaning a difference of not pence, but pounds. Of course, this is only the current $-£ value, and will not be the value you receive when CJ pay you. If you do a lot of leads though, it's certainly something worth considering.
As regards waiting for acceptance into a program, I can vouch that I have indeed seen a significant increase in response time. Most programs now approve within 24 hours, which is more than reasonable as far as I am concerned.
It should also be pointed out that a number of CJ merchants still manually validate affiliates, although they have the option to auto-validate the top 5% of affiliates... perhaps this is something that TD could look to introduce?
Although, I have been waiting 10 months for Marbles Loans to approve me... my application is still pending LOL![]()
It is my bugbear as well to be fair, but we have added an auto accept facility for the Merchant to use, should they wish to. You have got to wonder why when they are running on two networks they auto accept one and not the other - perhaps they do want to screen the affiliates? Finance clients are generally more careful and they like to see who they are accepting. The speed with which they do this, however, is something to continue working on, but thanks John for noticing that it has improved.
In time, this won't be an issue when choosing which network to use. 24 hours is what it should be, and will be.
Thanks

I'd just like to say I applied for this program at 15:26 this afternoon and was approved at 15:46 by 16:00 I had it on our site.
Well done TD.
