I just had an incredibly vague conversation with Dennis Palmer, the tradedoubler merchant/publisher manager for the iTunes GB affiliate program.

Seems he didn't know that the dynamic code/link/graphic for the iTunes 'Free Single of The Week' hasn't been updated since March 2009.

He stated that the code is updated by a member of staff at iTunes GB. He's just told me that he'll send a request to his iTunes GB contact to update it.

How deep does the mis-managment of the iTunes affiliate program go?

    What's worse?

    - That someone at iTunes GB needs to be reminded of a weekly event?
    - That some at Tradedoubler forgets to send the very much need reminder?
    - That the 'Free Single of The Week' link creates an error message on day 8?

For me... It's the fact that I keep trying to cash in on my traffic despite the fact that the staff running the show at iTunes GB and tradedoubler are simply muppets that show up everyday at 9am and leave at 5.30 pm, without addressing the consistent problems with the affiliate program they're paid to run.

At what point should I give up working with these fools?

That reply didnt exactly help the guy !!!!

I personally think they have left it to run itself like you see many merchants join networks and leave their programmes to fend for themselves and hope for sales.

I agree with FoxTucker, the free single of the week shouldnt need reminding to be updated.

I really don't need any personal help. I simply need someone to update the dynamic code provided by Tradedoubler every week. The whole point of dynamic code is that I include it on my pages once, and then it's automtically updated every week.

Despite assurances 18 months ago, this process simply isn't happening. Fix the code and we'll be good to go.

Another 3 weeks have past and it's still not fixed. You're still showing/linking to the same free single from 55 weeks ago! It should have been changed 54 times since then! Crazy, but true!

WTF do you people do all day?

    Hi there,

I work for Sky Songs, the new online music service from Sky and we've recently started our affiliate activity with AWIN.

Our tracking is working 100% and we're currently running a launch offer with £3 bounty for every sale of £4.99 - that's 60%. That's for all sales made in April. Standard commission is £2. (40%)

    Check us out on http://offers.affiliatewindow.com/?p=38152

    Thanks,

    Sky Songs team
