    Back to this thread again

Just got an email from TD re a new 10% voucher code. Does this mean the old code that is all over my sites is now expired?

If not, then why the new code?

    Im confused.

Also, still next to no conversions on Mothercare - so the move to TD continues to be an absolute disaster for my business. Anyone elses commissions picked up?

    Hello,

The old code (AF9) has been running for quite a long time now and has not yet expired but will be replaced by new code from 1st April which was communicated via the TD newsletter - details below:

Discount: Entitles customer to 10% off when they spend £120 or more
    Code: JLK
Usage: Can be used multiple times per customer

As mentioned in my previous post, the tracking issue was resolved at the end of February. Please send us your site ID and we would be happy to investigate further.

    Many thanks,
    Claudia

I'm fairly new to affiliate marketting and I have been having some limited success with CJ and AffiliateWindow. I was looking at signing up for Mothercare for a nursery site that I run but I have to say that I have a lot of concerns having read that roarer02 has seen his income drop by 90%-95% since the switch to TradeDoubler and his concerns still dont seem to have been answered as at end of March. I'd rather route my traffic through

Just wondering are any affiliates seeing good returns with Mothercare/Tradedoubler that has not dropped since the switch to TradeDoubler?
Also is there a general negative view on TradeDoubler with affiliates as converting worse than others?

    Hi Winwolf,

Thanks for your enquiry, totally understand your concerns around conversion following the problems we had at the beginning of the year with deeplinking.
These issues have all been resolved and we have seen a 24% increase in EPC since the issues were fixed in February.
We are continually working to improve the programme conversion with the objective of further increasing the earning potential for affiliates over time.

Commissions on the Mothercare programme are 4-5% depending on the volume of sales that you generate.
Conversion rate is also very strong for a retail programme as there is an element of necessity in the purchases that the customers are making.
There is a full set of creative and regularly updated product feed available through the ad management system.
And finally, we have a dedicated account management team for the Mothercare and ELC accounts who would be happy to help out with any queries you may have (contact us at mothercare@tradedoubler.com)

    Many thanks,
    Victoria

I just wanted to come back to this thread to praise Victoria, who was extremely helpful and professional in her dealings with me, and is a credit to TD. Unfortunately, my sales have never recovered from the switch, and - as part of a site redesign - I feel it's now time to promote other merchants more prominently instead. I do wonder how much Quidco's 6% cashback + 10% discount code is responsible - I wasn't aware of them having Cashback + discount code before so I wonder if the apparent decline for so many sites coincided with this?

To put it simply - there is a general perception that programs on TD convert badly and in my experience this is not entirely unfounded. When elc and mothercare moved to TD I did sign up but didn't expect much. In fact I did send an email enquiry on one point at the time - to this day I haven't received an answer?
I don't bother at all now really - the only programs I promote on TD are Tesco and Dell - and only because I don't have an option of going elsewhere

If you are looking to start earning money from your new venture then I would advise you give TD a very wide berth. ELC and Mothercare are not going to earn money for you.

DC000000, OK thanks for the advice regarding TD conversions and the alternative programs on other networks.

    Hi Guys,

I just wanted to dip into this thread to clarify a couple of things generally about TD tracking.

Obviously whenever a partner is concerned over our technology and the reliability of our systems, we take the inquiry very seriously and proceed to perform a thorough technical audit of the programme in question.

We run a large amount of duel-network programmes (such as HMV, Waterstones, Expedia etc) which give us a great platform to analyze if there is anything wrong with our tracking vs other networks.

Overall (and to put it into context), we are currently running around 1,800 affiliate programmes throughout 18 European markets for over 128,000 active affiliates. A vast majority of these are run without incident. When we do have an issue, we will work to a resolution (assisted by information passed back by both our affiliate and advertiser partners).

If you could provide me with any other instances that you feel TD tracking has fallen down compared to other networks then I would love to hear from you. Please email me at Sanjit.Atwal@TradeDoubler.com and we will start a technical investigation straight away.

Thanks guys, let me know if you have any questions.

    Regards
