With merhants like Dixons and Curries, could the postal strikes be affecting figures?
Just been looking at my October stats for TD, and they really are bad. Did anyone else notice the same thing?
It was my worst month with them since October 2001.
It's not as though I'm sending them less visitors. October was my best month for UVs since January.
But the conversion rate has really hit rock bottom. My overall CR for October was just 0.6%, which is less than a third of my average TD conversion rate.
It seems that all the TD merchants I promote had a very bad month.
Did anyone get any sales last month from Currys or Dixons?
I only normally get a handful, but in October I had none at all from over 5,000 UVs.

My CR was 1.87%, which was slightly up on Aug and Sept, but all 3 months are well below July's figures.
Currys 2100 UV = 8 sales.
Dixons I dont promote.
I did ok for October...little less than before but my site went down for 5 days during the month due to a balls up moving server.
I had a 0.77% CTR and 5.08% CR overall.

CTR 0.35%
CR 2.31%
No sales for Currys or Dixons - though only started promoting Dixons about 10 days ago so not really a fair measurement
My overall conversion rate for October was 1.51%.
17 Dixons sales from 2,230 UV's. This is somewhat lower than recent months but is probably due to the fact that other retailers are selling the products I promote cheaper than Dixons.

October was fine here too, volume of sales slightly up.
CTR of 1.43% and CR 2.37%

October was a record month for me on TD, with a CR of 6.29%

Anyways, October was (I think) our best month on TD - sales up, but that may be due to October being my first full month looking after mainly affiliate stuff as opposed to mainly updating competitions.
Dunno about Dixons or Currys - they, PC World and The Link have never done well, and I much prefer working with sites that convert - better than flogging dead horses.

I had a good month on TD also, CR was 0.81% and I got more commission than in any other month this year. The CTR was 1.84% although this figure is very scewed due to me having loads of text links and also banners so there are far more text link clicks which makes some of the CTR's look a little crazy (for example WHSmith has a CTR of 5,400.00%).
Dont promote them much but results were
Currys 222 - 0 Sales
Dixons 262 - 2 Sales
Overall it was a pretty average month for the time of year, certainly no indication of a problem on any of the main programs I promote.
From a merchant perspective we didn't see the increase we'd expected - possibly a result of the postal strike (that's my excuse and I'm clinging to it). Ending up with sales up 18% on September, with traffic growing and conversion down - across all channels we've seen similar things - probably the Christmas browsers starting to take a look.
