It depends on the merchant -

Did I miss something?
While I sympathise with the view that an offer lasting a few days may seem not worth bothering about from an affiliates point of view, 10% off electrical goods is a lot of savings. Currys & Dixons are also to be contgratualted for improving their website & getting Wheel on board to improve things further.
I will be doing two things today. Updating my website with details of the promotion and sending out a newsletter.
we do see a value in short term promotions, but again this depends on the nature of the site.
moving forward our strategy for promotions for Currys and Dixons is as follows;
Our focus is 2 main campaigns running alongside each other:
The first: Every Thursday we will refresh Currys & Dixons creative and content unit with their Killer Deals which are inline with offline campaigns e.g this thursday for Currys we will be promoting the plasma screen TV under £2k inline with their TV campaign and a hot offer from dixons on camcorders.
Secondly: Mondays we will refresh Currys & Dixons creative which will carry more topline messages with the gifting theme e.g Dixons on monday we will launch their free delivery on all orders over £100 with gifting messages.
The intention of regulating this is so our partners can plan more and refresh creative.
Unfortunately we cannot openly disclose the larger promotions to ensure our competiture advantage, but if you do have an email going out which you would like a more focused promotion please drop hayley.read@wheel.co.uk a line and i am sure she can help
Cheers
Helen
