  Unhappy Epc

Maybe my traffic is pants, but here are my EPCs for Home Electrical:
Last 3 months
Dixons on TD - 0.041 EPC from 10300+ clicks CR 0.31%
Unbeatable on TD - 0.020 EPC from 5700+ clicks CR 0.28%
24-7 Electrical on TD - 0.012 EPC from 4200+ clicks CR 0.35%
Empire Direct on TD - 0.013 EPC from 2600+ clicks CR 0.50%
Currys on TD - 0.039 EPC from 2400+ clicks CR 0.16%

Overall on TD - 0.052 EPC from 89000+ clicks

I have stopped promoting Unbeatable, 24-7, Empire Direct and Currys. Has anyone got suggestions for alternatives or is this typical for this area?

I am sending most of my traffic to Comet on CJ now but can't give accurate EPCs as they are cancelling sales every now and again, but the CR is much much better...

there are some productive ones on AW

But I haven't really focused on this market so don't have enough data to make a meaningful recomendation.

I think the CR is low in general for this market. People do research online but buy instore. (the opposite to cd's dvds?)

Mmmm - I think you might be right. I know we all had a poll about this before. Maybe the solution is to try and find niche sites that sell just the one thing eg. dvdpplayers.co.uk - I wonder if their conversion rates are better?

This can be true of many things however with White Goods and things you can only get delivered I would be more keen to go into the shop like say Comet, find what I want to buy and then go home and order it online. Reason for this is the web price is often streets ahead of the store price for the same brand.

Yeah that's what I don't understand. I bought a laptop about 2 months ago and traipsed round Totenham Court Road looking for a bargain then realised i was wasting my time because none of them could compete with online prices.

Is anyone esle getting a much better EPC on these companies?

Supercod - I disagree.

Everyone is different. Yep I bought my washing machine a few years ago from QXL, but cooker I bought from the store. Maybe because I wasn't fussed about the functionality of the washing machines (all I want is to get the clothes clean!) but with a cooker I wanted to get a decent one that did everything I wanted so I researched a bit on the net and had a look in store.

It's all horses for courses. As I believe some people with the bigger purchases still like to talk their buy through with a customer services/sales person.

This isn't helping luke though.

Still a lot of people researching online and buying in store however as the web culture keeps expanding more and more people are doing the opposite and looking at the goods instore and buying online, web specials and free shipping are contributing to this growing trend
