just created some cd pages and was checking the links when I noticed the final destination page is:

www3.cd-wow.com/index.php?affid=11197

what's that affid=11197 all about then?

is it a ref id to make the TD tracking work with their site?

have I got some spyware as they also offer an independent programme which I haven't signed up for!

anyone got any ideas?

Before they launched on TD they had an independent affiliate program. As far as I'm aware it is still running.

It's quite common for merchants to use tracking ids. Sounds like CD wow are tracking the sales as well. They could also be doing this so that they only show one set of affiliate tracking on the check-out page.
