At the moment there are 10(!) advertisers available to Irish websites on TradeDoubler. They are

Dell
ebookers.ie
Figleaves

InkClub.com (IE)

Anyone know why it's so limited? Why no CDWow for starters?

(And yes - I know this is a UK based affilliates site!!!)

maybe it's because they have to pay extra for each country they are in?

Surely if someone from Ireland clicks on the UK link and spends money you will still get rewarded - or is it cdwow.ie? Maybe it depends on how the tracking is implemented - but if they all have the same order confirmation page I would have thought you would still get rewarded? I am assuming TD tracking is placed in the merchant order confirmation page...

I'm sure that would be the case - but they've gone to the trouble of setting up a specific section catering for the Irish market.

I mean with CJ.com i can pretty much choose to run ads for or from wherever I want - with TradeDoubler, you just get the above 10 merchants to choose from. It's a bit limiting.


I'm just curious as to why this is the case.

edit: the reason i specifically mentioned cdwow was because CDWow.ie exists; CDWow advertises on TradeDoubler; and yet it doesn't appear on the Irish area of TradeDoubler. Just seems odd.

Good thread.. I wondered similar before with certain merchants that are european, but only appear in one country TD.
