Has anyone noticed the HUGE flashing telephone number at the top of every page??

I have emailed TD about this and received a reply saying:

I will pass this on to the Mobiles2YouDoor affiliate manager.

That's it though, heard nothing since.

My sales have dropped off since they introduced the phone number banner and I'm now considering dropping them too.

Is mobile phones a disaster area or what! It converts so badly for me with everyone, E2Save seem to reject loads of leads for me, my best are Phones2Udirect on Affiliatefuture who pay £12 for an application.

I need to get organised - any other recommendations? BT Mobile look quite good but the commissions seem quite low.

I send sony ericcson a lot of traffic. Even though it pays good for accessories the £5 is (be diplomatic Lee) crap. I've asked them to review it and await their response.

Hi Andrew et al,

the account manager for mobiles2yourdoor is actioning the removal of the telephone numbers on the banners. I do not have a timescale on when this will be completed.

Ideally TradeDoubler would like to keep everyone who emailed on this matter up to date (in person) with the progress, however, I beleive this forum to be the perfect tool to air, and respond, to general issues such as this.

I really don't care about the banners - In my post and the email to yourselves you will see that I was talking about the order line number displayed at the top of every single page - they did not have this before signing up with you - it was added about a week afterwards.

As for keeping individuals up to date and not in person - what's the point of having an affiliate email contact if you don't want to update concerned individuals who take the time to use your "official response route"?

I am the account manager for Mobiles2YourDoor.

I have spoken with Mobiles2YourDoor and they will not be removing the telephone number banner on the site in the near future.

They will consider removing the banner in their next site review and we hope with the feedback from emails and the comments on this thread that they do.

In which case can the site be designed so that telephone orders can be tracked to the affiliate ? There are thousands of 0870 numbers available and they are free to obtain (even generate revenue) so there should be scope to display an 0870 number appropriate to the affiliate link that has been followed.
