Does anyone know their stand on affiliates bidding on the word "kelkoo" ?

For some reason a search on Google returns no PPC listings, ie affiliates bidding on that word.

But for some reason a search for my own domain name returns a PPC listing on Google for Kelkoo ! A diect link I might add NOT an affiliate link.

    So what would you do?

You could approach google to ban bidding on your domain (as one word any way). However checking overture suggestion tool I couldnt see any signs that your site is searched for by name so while annoying its probably not having much impact at the moment.

I think Kelkoo takes a big list of "everything" people search on and then cpc it to build up their userbase. So if people search for your domain name then they include it.

However, if its good for merchants to request that affiliates don't cpc their brand it IS fair that we request that they don't do the same. I'd fire them an email and ask them to stop.

From what I understand you can only get Google to stop people bidding if you send them a Trademark certificate.
