Hi, Quick questions regarding Thomas Cook
Are They paying their bills at the moment?

Will all the current problems with the share price (16p on 9 Dec 2011 from 185p 12 months prior) Are they on prepayment or any other special terms? It will be good for affiliates to be assured that all our hard efforts will not be in vain if the company suddenly decides to cease trading.

I for 1 do not want another repeat of XL

    Hi Kevin,

Thomas Cook have assured us that they will continue to pay their invoices on time and in time for the next affiliate payment run.

They recently issue the following statement which you may find beneficial:

We've delivered great value for 170 years. 2012 will be no different!

Please feel free to use the messaging on your site if you feel it will help in your continued efforts to promote Thomas Cook. We value your continued support.

    Hi Ed

Thats great news, and I know they have improved a lot in this area recently, but the sooner October commission is showing in "To Be Paid in Next Payment" the better - any idea what day you expect this to happen? As you know this next payment coincides with the beginning of the peak travel booking period for the year. Travel affiliates are looking to make the most of this important time and late payments can throw a spanner in the works, which is not in the interest of affiliate, network or merchant.

The same currently applies to Expedia, would you mind just giving the team who manage this merchant a nudge so we can also see this one move across into "paid" asap and relax a little :-)

    Thanks

    Hi JulesS,

Thanks for your comments. As soon as the payment from Thomas Cook has been received and processed by our finance department the status will be changed in the interface. I’m afraid I don’t have an exact date that I can give you but as I said in my earlier post we do expect payment for Thomas Cook to be on time. I will be following up with them again today just to double check.

    Regards
    Ed

Thanks Ed - appreciate your help and if you could pass on the feedback to the Expedia team it would be greatly appreciated.

The latest news from Thomas Cook that is being sent to affiliates - ANSWERS NOTHING

I’m afraid that despite the recent assurances from Thomas Cook that payment would be made on time, they have failed to make any payment to us. Unfortunately this means, that despite our best efforts to secure the funds on time, payment is unlikely to reach us in time for the payment run next week.

I appreciate that this will cause some considerable frustration and concern to you and for this I can only apologise. Tradedoubler will continue to push for the payment to be made as quickly as possible and have already started the process to escalate this to the highest level possible.

We will endeavour to secure the payment for you as quickly as we possibly can.

Here comes another XL and Woolworths

Perhaps the Affiliate manager for Thomas Cook would like to address this forum, as the manager at tradedoubler seems to be on annual leave until 3rd Jan 2012.

Previously the affiliate managers for Thomas Cook have been very helpful, but we need some information from Thomas Cook regarding the issues around payments now not in January.

max_ym - thomas cook did miss the Dec payment and it got aggregated into the Jan payment, so to that degree they are currently up to date. Having said that the Feb payment (which is due in two weeks) is currently showing as "unpaid" in the system, so you will need to seek clarification from a TD rep if this can be expected to be paid in time for payment run on 21st. I think the bottom line is you will get paid eventually but quite frequently they take longer than the regular 2 month lag that most merchants seem to be able to work to.

So can we expect the currently unpaid invoice for December commission to be paid on time on the 21st February? Can someone from Tradedoubler please check and advise.

Hi there guys. As soon as the payment from Thomas Cook has been received and processed by our finance department we will be able to make the funds available for the next affiliate payment day. I'll follow up with Thomas Cook as to when we can expect for this payment to be received.

I'll post as soon as I have an update on this.

    thanks for your patience.

    Hi All,

Thomas Cook has now confirmed that payment for December will be made to us today. This should be reflected on the TradeDoubler interface with the next 24-48hrs and we will be ablt to oay the December commission on time.

    Many Thanks

    Hi Ed

The Thomas Cook invoice for January commission is still showing as overdue/unpaid with the next payment date less than 2 weeks away. Can you advise if this is being addressed and will be paid in plenty of time for the 20th March payment run.

    Thanks

    Hi SeanMac,

Thomas Cook made the payment for January commission on Monday. It usually takes a few days for the payment to reach our bank account and for the TD interface to be updated, however, this will all happen in advance of the next payment run and you will be paid on time.

    Many Thanks,
    Ed
